Water management guide
Vext sets watering to match your plant's growth stage, so most of the time you can, and should leave both sliders on Default. Adjust when your plant tells you to, one slider at a time. Move a single step, then wait two or three days before judging it.
Look at the roots first
Wilting leaves can mean too much water or too little, and the two need opposite fixes. So before you move anything, check the roots behind the plant wall. Healthy roots are pale and firm.
Roots dry, thin, or shriveled, plant seems thirsty. Too little water. Move Moisture toward Wetter.
Roots dark, soft, or slimy, or a stale smell. Too wet to breathe. Move Misting rhythm toward Longer gaps first, then Moisture toward Drier if it has not improved in a few days.
By situation
Warm, dry room, or a big leafy plant drinking fast? Move Moisture toward Wetter.
Cool or humid room? Move Moisture toward Drier.
Roots waterlogged or slimy, or a stale smell, but the leaves still look fine? Move Misting rhythm toward Longer gaps.
Moving a slider nudges that setting up or down. To undo a change, return the slider to Default.
