Storage space

Edited

The lower compartment of your Vext houses the nutrient bottles for automatic dosing and provides space to store additional pod packs ready for planting, keeping everything organized and within easy reach.

An important note: If you have pets or small children, restrict access to the storage area. A cabinet child lock designed for smooth surfaces can be used, but it does not guarantee full prevention of access.

Nutrient bottle placement

On the right side of the compartment, you’ll find a sticker showing where each nutrient bottle should be placed, ensuring the tubes are inserted into the correct bottles.

  • Grow nutrient in the left slot

  • Bloom nutrient in the right slot

From there nutrients are automatically dosed into the water tank, so no manual measuring or mixing is required.

Storing Vext pod packs

Use the remaining space in the lower compartment to store your Vext pod packs.

The compartment can hold up to 6 pod packs, keeping them organized and ready for your next planting cycle.

For best results, use pod packs within one year. This ensures strong and reliable germination. Over time the seeds lose their ability to germinate.

To store seeds for even longer:

  • Store in a cool, dry place

  • Keep packs sealed, ideally in an airtight container

  • Avoid exposure to heat, light, and humidity

Seed longevity depends mainly on moisture and temperature. Keeping both low helps preserve germination ability over time.

For extended storage, place seeds in an airtight container with a moisture absorber (e.g. silica gel) and keep them in a refrigerator.

Freezing is not recommended, as moisture in seeds and condensation can damage the seeds.
