Vext Pod holder

Edited

Pod holders help get a controlled amount of water to your plant pods during early growth. The small reservoir at the end supports even hydration and reduces the risk of over- or under-watering. When installed with pods, they also help keep the fog contained within the root zone.

Installing pod holder

Step 1: Align the pod holder

Ensure the pod holder is oriented with the back angled downward.

Step 2: Press into place

Insert it into the plant wall opening, pressing one side in first, then the other, until it snaps into place.

Tip: Make sure no roots get pinched between the pod holder to avoid water dripping down the plant wall.

Removing pod holder

Before removing a pod holder ensure the cabinet is in Service Mode, so that fog won't come out of the root-zone.

Step 1: Grip the holder

Hold the pod holder firmly on both sides.

Step 2: Pop one side loose

Pull one side outward until it releases with a subtle pop. Use a corner pull if additional leverage is needed.

If the pod holder cannot be removed from the front, remove the plant wall and help by pushing it out from the back.

Tip: Turn the pod holder upside down after releasing to remove any excess water stored in the pod holder before taking it fully out from the plant wall.

Cleaning Your Pod Holders

  • By hand: Wash with dish soap and rinse thoroughly.

  • In a dishwasher: Place on the top rack and run a standard cycle. This is useful when cleaning multiple pod holders at once.

Clean the pod holders occasionally to prevent buildup and keep the system running cleanly.
