How to Switch Places of Plants

Edited

Sometimes you’ll want to rearrange your plants—maybe to give a favorite herb more light or to balance out growth. Here’s how to safely move mature plants around the Vext wall.

Step-by-Step: Moving a Plant

  • Remove the pod holder carefully: Gently pull the pod holder and plant from the wall. It's normal if some roots resist—especially with older plants. If roots are stuck, either gently wiggle them free or snip the excess using clean scissors. Removing too many roots may slow growth for a while, but your plant will typically recover.

  • Fold the roots for easier reinsertion: Before placing the pod holder into its new spot, fold the root mass halfway—this makes it easier to guide the plant back in without damaging the roots or bending them awkwardly.

  • Insert and secure the pod holder: Once all the roots are inside the wall opening, press the pod holder firmly into place. Make sure it sits evenly so airflow and misting work properly.

  • Repeat for the second plant (or more): Switch as many plants as needed, following the same careful steps.
